• An interdisciplinary project done with a collaboration of Mechanical engineering and electrical and electronics department
of our university.The team consisted of 12 students.
BRAIN INSPIRED FACE RECOGNITION MODEL |PRO BONO RESEARCH INTERN
August 2016 – March 2017
• Developed a multi classifier face recognition model with decision level fusion.
• My computational model’s architecture was primarily based on the the distributed face perception mechanism in the brain
and PCA (Principal Component Analysis).
• Research paper on the aforementioned computational model submitted in the journal, IEEE Transactions of Cybernetics is
currently under review since July 2017.
BALL FOLLOWER ROBOT |TEAM LEAD
Mar 2016 – May 2016
• A webcam was used to track a ball of a specific colour using image processing algorithms .The location of the ball was sent
serially to the arduino micro-controller attached on a robot chassis.
• AWARDED THE TOP UNIVERSITY INNOVATION FUND FOR A PERIOD OF TWO YEARS.
• The robot moved autonomously in the direction of the ball movement by a human subject.
SIMILARITY FILTERING BASED MULTILEVEL THRESHOLDING |IMAGE SEGMENTATION ALGORITHM
Jan 2015- April 2015
• Created a fast and efficient Image Segmentation algorithm Using Similarity Filtering Based Multilevel Thresholding.
• The paper was accepted as a poster presentation at the International Conferences in Central Europe on Computer
Graphics, Visualization and Computer Vision (WSCG), Czech Republic 2015.
