College Projects:
V-Department System (B.E Project)
• Analysed the flaws in the departmental work such as, the time consuming process of issuing bonafied certificates, manual work involved in issuing railway concession forms and also students applying for the forms before their duration is completed, improper synchronization in issuing of submitted documents to college.
• Designed and developed a web based system which reduced the number of days to get the documents from 7-8 working days to 2-3 working days.
• Removed the issue of students applying for the forms before their duration is completed by calculating the duration by using the information of previous date of issue from the database.
• Developed a feature to verify the request for documents and information provided by student and filling the concession form automatically and printing it directly on the sheets provided by the railway department.
• Authored a paper on the same V-Department System. Discussed the current flaws in the system and the need of our web based system. Researched on various techniques of aligning text according to requirement and also got the method of printing the railway concession forms rather than writing it manually approved by Central Railway.
• Technologies used: PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, JAVA SCRIPT.
E-commerce website
• Designed and developed an e-commerce website for selling mobile phones and its accessories using XAMPP software for a server.
• Developed and systematized the process of product comparison by entering the data in a structured manner and displaying it by grouping the information based on common features
• Incorporated a feature that allowed users to give their reviews about a product.
• Technologies used: PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS
Arduino based obstacle avoidance robot
• Designed the structure of robot, its appearance, positioning of the sensor, rpm of motors, number of motors to be used.
• Implemented the algorithm and code for moving the robot and for the turning of stepper motor.
• Assembled the hardware like ultrasonic sensor, Arduino uno, stepper motor, etc.
Recommender System For Movie Lens Dataset
• Implemented memory-based (user and item similarity) and regularized SVD with Stochastic Gradient Descent for generating recommendations on 1 Million data points.
• Evaluated the system using RMSE and got the optimum RMSE=0.83 for SVD.
• Used sparse matrices to reduce memory and time consumption.
• Technology used: Python.
Authored a paper on the topic same as BE project but not published yet.
