I am aspiring for MS in CyberSecurity/Information Security/Information Assurance.
My profile is as follows:
B.E. Computer Engineering: 66% (Topper: ~85%)
College: Pune Institute of Computer Technology, Pune University
GRE: 321 (Q-166 [91st percentile], V-155 [68th percentile], AWA- 3.5)
Work Experience: ~ 2 years of relevant work exp at time of application. (I am working as a Software Developer in a Network Security company)
Project Work:
Win vSwitch - For my final year project, our project group implemented an Open-source switch for Windows OS based on Open vSwitch model for Linux. With our switch, remote monitoring and control of the connections was possible following the concept of Software Defined Networking (SDN). The entire programming was done in C language.
PICT Alumni Enrolment Application - This Project was assigned by a Professor in our college on behalf of the Alumni Committee of our college to make a simple enrolment application for registration of new alumnus in the committee.
Awards and Achievements: (Writing only the main ones here)
. Won 1st prize at Hitachi’s Programmer Marathon (A C/C++ coding competition conducted at inter-collegiate level)
. Won 2nd prize in “Hackathon”, sponsored by Ebay, held at BITS Pilani – Goa Campus.
. Won 3rd prize in “Codigo”, a C/C++ coding competition held at MAEER’s MIT, Pune.
. Organised “Clash”, a C/C++ coding competition in our college’s technical festival “Credenz” (which is organised by PICT IEEE student members) in 2011 and 2012.
. Organised “NCC – National Computing Contest” in our college in 2011 and 2012.
. Played a vital role in Pictoreal (College magazine) as a part of the marketing team in 2011 and the Pics-o-reel (Photography section of our magazine) and design team in 2013.
