Hi Guys,
I'm working in IBM as a Software Developer for last three years.
I completed my B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata on 2014 and earned myself a GPA of 8.21 / 10.
X: 92.5% (West Bengal Board)
XII: 78% (West Bengal Board)
GRE: 322 (q: 170 + v: 152), AWA:3.5
TOEFL: 110 (R:29,L:27,S:24,W:30)
Internships:
1. Summer Intern at Microsoft India, May 2013 – July 2013 - Worked on several High Profile Windows Store applications during that time,
Projects:
1. Research Project based on Image Processing: Worked on a Biometric Authentication System in the final year of my University. The app will take an high-resolution image of a human iris or face as input using a high-resolution webcam or Iris scanner and will compare it against the biometric data stored in the database and will let us know if the user has authorization rights, i.e., if his biometric data is present in the database.
2. Worked on several high profile Mobile Applications during my days in IBM and most of them are currently deployed on either the official Apple App Store (iTunes) or Google Play Store. Some of the clients I worked for: Apple, Etihad Airways, Vodafone, Nokia, etc. I don't want to delve into finer details regarding these for now. Please don't mind![Very Happy Very Happy]()
Certifications:
i) IBM Certified IT Specialist
ii) IBM Data Science Foundation
iii) IBM Certified Mobile Application Developer
Research Papers:
-> No research papers because at that time, I was too naive to understand its importance. I still have a draft of the paper I prepared during my final year in University, but I don't believe that it counts.
SOPs and LORs:
I will develop a robust and brief SOP which I hope will convince the admission committee that I'm strongly motivated to pursue my MS in CS
Regarding LORs, I will take one from my Project Manager, one from my Team Lead and the last one from my Project Mentor in my University.
Universities I want to apply to:
US (MS in CS)
Ohio State University
Texas A&M University College Station
University of California Irvine
University of Texas, Dallas *Not sure about this*
University of Maryland College Park
Arizona State University
Pennsylvania State University (Penn State)
Germany
TU, Munich (Informatics, Computer Science)
TU, Munich (Data Engineering and Analytics)
What are my chances of getting into the above-mentioned Universities?
Also, are any other universities you'd like to suggest?
