Hello,
I would be visiting India in December, 2017, to renew my visa. As I had admin processing last time I applied for a visa, it would most likely go for admin processing again. So, I may need to stay in India for about 2 months. My parents in India, use a USB dongle for internet access (of course their requirement and usage is very limited). However, I will probably need to work on my research which means remote desktop connection from India, sometime go for Skype calls with my advisor, etc. I am not sure how good the USB dongle's are, I have never used one. Could you suggest what are the options to get high speed reliable internet connection in India for a short time? I stress on short time as I do not want to sign any yearly contract or something.
Also, I found out that many applications for internet connections require Aadhar card which I don't have. I do have passport, however, it would probably be with the American Consulate if it goes for admin processing. I will make copies of it, but I am not sure if it would work without the original.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sandipan
