Requesting a profile evaluation from seniors.
Applying for MS in Computer Science for Fall 2017.
GRE: 318 (Q: 161, V: 157, AWA: 3.0)
Both Quants and Verbal are in the 93-94 percentile.
TOEFL: 112
Acads: 66% or 5.9 GPA (Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, guna).
My college is a sister branch of Jaypee Institue of Information Technology,Noida.
My grades are consistently low in all semesters except last where I managed to get straight A in all courses.
Work Experience: 1yr 1 month (Ongoing) - Cognizant Technology Solutions
with concentration in Sharepoint and Dot Net Web App Development
Projects: A couple of Android applications (unpublished), and similar small projects not very academic so I don't think they apply here. One project from DTU in Computer Networks. One project in HP Education Services in J2EE. My final year project was also an Android application to do with interactive mathematics, it had a object character recognition element to it of a smart camera calculator.
Papers: No published papers :/
Certification courses: (1)ASP DotNet and (2)J2EE with hibernate and struts both from HP Education Services
I have strong extra-curriculars in terms of sports , organising fests and literary events and robotics club of the university.
If it helps, I was among the top scorers in 10th.
I understand that my GRE score doesn't make up for poor GPA, but my list still includes a lot of ambitious unis as well.
