Arizona State University cannot find accreditation for a NIT!!

I got the following, rather unbelievable email yesterday morning,

Hello Ramanuj Bhattacharjee,

Thank you for your application. We are researching the institution from where you earned your bachelor’s degree. There appears to be no accreditation information available in our resource materials for National Institute of Technology Meghalaya. Please provide the following so we may research the institution further.

What we would need is a letter sent to our office directly from the Ministry of Education stating the following:

· The name of the institution in English
· The street address (no P.O. Box)
· The degrees the institution is allowed to grant (Bachelor, Master)
· A statement indicating that the institution is accredited.
