Greetings everyone.

Glad to be a part of Edulix community. I am applying for Canadian universities and my profile details are as follows :

- IELTS - 8.0 Bands (8.5-L, 8.0-R, 7.5-W, 7.0-S)
- CGPA - 7.1/10 (Parul Institute of Engineering & Technology, Affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (G.T.U.))
- GRE - Not Given (Not Mandatory for majority universities in Canada)
- Work Exp. - 3.4 years as a Sr. Software Developer in an IT Firm. Platforms worked upon include Microsoft ASP.NET MVC C#, Azure Cloud, SQL Server, WEB API, JavaScript and some others.

Canadian Universities Preference : Universities offering MS (Course based/Project Based)/MASc (Course based) in CS/Applied Computing.

Previous Applications
-------------------------

I actually wanted to go for Winter 2017 but unfortunately couldn't go for that intake since I didn't . Here is the list of universities I applied :

1.) University of Ottawa (MS in CS(Course)) - Rejection (After 3-4 months of waiting)
2.) University of Windsor (MS in CS(Thesis)) - Accepted

Present Scenario
-------------------------

Now I am applying for FALL 2017 Intake, specifically for MS/MASc programs in CS/Applied Computing. This time I am going only for Course based/Project based Programs. And this is the list that I have prepared as a final outcome of my choices :

1.) U of Lakehead - MS in CS (Project Based) - Applied.
2.) U of Carleton - MS in CS (Project Based) - Yet to apply.
3.) U of Dalhousie - M in Applied CS (Project Based) - Yet to apply.
4.) U of Western Ontario - MS in CS (Course/Project Based) - Yet to apply. (Confused here about their Coursework option. That option has a directed study course and doesn't have any project, so it is advisable to take coursework option here? )
5.) U of Victoria - MS in CS (Course based) - Yet to apply.
6.) U of Windsor - M in Applied Computing (Course based) - back up option (Since its safe)

Presently, I am more inclined towards targeting a university in Ontario since I suppose it would be better for job prospects. But its not a concrete decision. I have also kept Dalhousie and Victoria since they are good universities.

It would be great if you can let me know about the Ambi/Mod/Safe status for these unis and also, if applicable, suggest other unis which match my profile and requirement.

Your efforts and suggestions are highly appreciated.Smile

Thanks & Regards.
