My CGPA is too low with relatively good GRE score. Would really appreciate if you can evaluate my profile.
I am planning to go in Fall-2017 for MS in Computer Science (or Data Science, if possible).
GRE: 318 (Quant 168, Verbal 150, AWA 2.5).
IELTS: 7 (Listening 7.5, Reading 7.5, Writing 6, Speaking 7)
CGPA: 5.91 from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal.
Projects:
1. Dynamic clustering of data using K-Means Algo
2. Solving the Travelling Salesman Problem using Genetic Algorithm
Extra Curricular:
1. Web design and development of Robotics and Circuits Group, MIT
2. Finalist in a major Business-Plan competition in MIT.
2. CATEGORY HEAD of the GAMING section in Revels (cultural fest) of MIT.
3. Class Representative.
4. Founded as well as worked in various start-ups initiated by many students while and after my college in MIT. (More details in my Infobank)
Experience:
1. Technical Head, of a start-up "Earnobies" in Manipal. Work involved Web design and development mainly via PHP, CSS, Javascript, etc. Also handled cloud servers of the company involving load-balancing, up-down scaling of servers as and when required. (2 Years). Was a key member of the team which was involved in successfully securing seed funding for the company. (More details in my Infobank)
Social Work:
1. Hosting blood donation camp as well as donating blood in MIT
2. Running old clothes drive for orphanage and visiting them as a part of a social club "Disha" in MIT.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
2 From college faculty, one of them is an ex-HOD and PhD.
1 From the CEO of my first Start-Up (BE, and Masters of International Business, France)
Less CGPA reasons:
Sports Injury (and later surgery)
Other health issues.
