Applying for MS CS(non-thesis) / M.Eng CS
UG Course : BTech Electronics
UG CGPA : 8.4
College : Walchand college of Engineering, Shivaji University.
GRE : 327 (Q 162 , V 165, AWA 4)
TOEFL : waiting for the scores
Work ex: 4 years, as a full-stack developer.
1. Worked in Infosys Labs for 3 years 7 months,
2. Infosys Labs is R&D arm of the company. I worked on the Wearable technology. We created an aggregation server that worked as a one stop shop for all the wearable health care devices such as fitness bands, apps, smartwatches and medical implants.
3. Currently working in Deloitte as a Consultant.
4. I am part of the architecture team, I create libraries and common components that are used by other teams. to build the front end application.
5. I have also done a good amount of free lance work for startup in US, one my recommendation will be coming from the CEO of the startup.
I am more interested in professional/non-thesis courses and want to go back to the industry after my masters.
I am considering following universities:
1. UIUC - MCS
2. Cornell University - M.Eng in CS
3. UC Berkely - M.Eng in CS
4. Carnegie Mellon University - MS CS non-thesis
5. Princeton - M.Eng in CS
6. Columbia - MS in CS non-thesis
7. Georgia Tech. - MS in CS non-thesis
Questions:
1. Kindly tell my prospects in above mentioned universities.
2. Does having Quant score(162) less than Verbal score(165) hurt my prospects?
3. I am planning to get all three of my recommendations from professionals with whom I have worked over the last four years, will this be a problem?
