I have taken the GRE in July, and got a score of 328 and 4.5 in AWA. Somehow, I feel that I didn't do my best, and thereby plan to retake the test in October 1st week. Meanwhile, Fall 2017 applications for many schools have started, and I am worried that if my new GRE scores come by the mid of October, I may be left with insufficient time to comfortably apply to all shortlisted grad schools. I believe that my current GRE scores are also adequate for many schools, so I may start applying now itself by sending this score. My query is that if I send the new set of GRE scores to a school after I have submitted the application, then would they still consider the new one that is received after the application is submitted? I am in a bit of quandary about this. Would it be too late if I wait for the new scores? Please give your suggestions.
